Gate Finishes

At Cheshire Gates we feel it is imperative that a gate has protection from the elements and against the sun’s UV rays.

We offer three types of finishes:
The minimum a gate should have is a Preservative finish, this is a basic protection, protecting softwood gates against the elements.

A Sikkens 4 Coat finish is our standard finish, with two coats of HLS Plus and two top coats of Cetol 7 UV protection. (Sikkens Colour Chart Below)

We also offer a high build finish, whereby our gates are sent away for a Professional three coat spray finish. The gates are completely sealed, then coated in a TEKNOS spray finish. With this finish you can have any shade you require from a light oak through to Black.
